Stop Traffic Now will focus on how students and communities can be involved in efforts to combat trafficking in persons at a local level. Conference activities will emphasize the strength of grassroots efforts by hosting panelists with experiences as student activists, lawyers, academics, researchers, victims, advocates, and founders of human trafficking organizations. Delegates will be divided into discussion groups which will meet throughout the course of the conference to converse about the topics being presented, brainstorm methods of involvement, and network.
Conference activities will include:
- Panels and speeches
- Films, exhibits and booths with information about human trafficking organizations and victims’ stories
- Workshops that teach delegates how to write effective Op Eds and host awareness raising events
